Shri Krishna Madhuri · Pad 22
prāna prāna, kānha tāna, naina bāna mārī
Original pad by Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj
English meaning
Oh sakhi! The life of my life, Shyāmasundara, shot me with the arrow of His ogles by stretching the bow of His brows. His ogles were extremely sharp but there was infinite bliss in them, looking at which even Kāmadeva becomes completely contented. Absolutely bewitching is the sight of His curly locks of hair, His love-laden eyelids and the gusto of love in His heart reflected through His eyes. He is the source of bliss to all maidens in the form of individual souls. His gait is extremely alluring and when He stands in His triple-bent posture, it certainly ravages the heart! The slight bent of His crown on one side, the movement of His eyebrows and the way of holding the staff, all present a uniquely lovely sight. Jagadguru Shrī Kripālu Jī says, “And the tinkling sound of the kaṅkaṇas beautified on His wrists and the jewelled kiṅkiṇī adorned on His waist jingle the cord of the stringed instrument of the heart forever.”
