hṛidaya! tū mori sikhāvani māna
Original pad by Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj
English meaning
Oh mind! Accept my teaching. You crave for the sweet meeting with the supreme beloved Shyāmasundara, but He is too cruel-hearted to heed your pain of separation even in His dreams. Then, at not being able to see Him, you want to embrace death but the Lord of your life Shyāmasundara does not let even this happen. You are so stupid that you fail to understand the secret of His behaviour even after all this. Oh mind! I have fully understood His principle through His behaviours towards you until now. He gives you exactly the opposite of what you ask for. For example - He gave separation on being asked for union and gave life when you asked for death. Therefore, Oh mind, advises Jagadguru Shrī Kripālu Jī, you now ask only for beloved Shyāmasundara’s separation, then alone you will be blessed with His sweet union.
