Siddhanta Madhuri · Pad 29

o mana! mūrakha aba cheta re!

Original pad by Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj

English meaning

Oh foolish mind! Come to your senses at least now. Unable to see the reality, you remain attached to the sensual objects only; you do not love Shyāmasundara. Oh mind! Just see, the palaces of imagination which you always create are standing on the foundation of sand. These objects of senses will take even me, the soul, to the abode of Yama, the god of death, along with you. What will you get by repenting when it is too late? Jagadguru Shrī Kripālu Jī says, “Your aim will be fulfilled only when you get attached to the lotus-feet of Shyāmasundara, the ocean of mercy. Therefore, practise devotion to Him.”
