1पूतना को गति दीन्ही क्या दूँ ब्रजबामा।
2कौन मुँह लै के जाऊँ पुनि ब्रजधामा॥
3pūtanā ko gati dīnhī kyā dūṁ brajabāmā
4kauna muṁha lai ke jāuṁ puni brajadhāmā
5Shyamsundar says, “Though Putana, came to Me with
6the intention of killing Me, yet I granted her My divine
7abode and the status of a mother. What can I possibly
8give the Gopis of Braj, who love Me selflessly? How
9can I go to Braj with nothing worthwhile to offer them?
10I will remain eternally indebted to them.”
