1बार बार भोग ते भी मिटे नाहिं कामा।
2जानता हूँ फिर भी नहिं मन माने श्यामा॥
3bāra bāra bhoga te bhī miṭe nāhiṁ kāmā
4jānatā hūṁ phira bhī nahiṁ mana māne śhyāmā
5O Shyama! I know very well that fulfilling worldly
6desires does not eliminate them; they only continue to
7grow deeper and deeper. Still, my mind refuses to
8understand this harsh truth; it craves for worldly
9pleasures.
