Nīlamaṇi nainana para balihāra.
ina nainana rasa jānati-nīke, shrī vṛishabhānu dulāra.
tīna raṅga shvetimā aruṇimā, arū kālimā nihāra.
ḍūba na jāya rasika nainana rasa, yāte palaka vihāra.
palakani ūpara aṭapaṭa naṭakhaṭa,bhṛikuṭi kāma dhanu dhāra.
jaba tirachhe nainana bānana soṁ, mārata nandakumāra.
taba ‘Kṛipālu’ shiva bane shivānī, kaha ‘hā prāṇādhāra’.
A rasika saint beholding the love-intoxicated beautiful eyes of
Shrī Kṛishṇa surrenders his whole being and says. ‘Only
Shrī Vṛishabhānunandinī Rādhā experiences the special love-nectar of
these eyes. Shyāmasundara’s eyes have three different colours. The
centre is all white, the corners of His eyes are red and His pupils are
black. The eyelids on top obstruct the rasika saints from totally drowning
in the fathomless nectar-filled ocean of Divine Love. These eyelids rise
and fall repeatedly sometimes allowing the eyes to be seen and sometimes
concealing the love-nectar of these eyes from the gaze of the viewer.
The eyebrows on top appear to be the shape of the bow of Kāmadeva
(Cupid). Shyāmasundara mounts the arrow of His side-long loving glance
on His bow-like eyebrows and aims it at the desired goal. Even Lord
Shiva, wounded by this piercing loving glance helplessly transforms
himself to a female form (Shivānī) and falls unconscious in ecstasy
longing and sighing for Shyāmasundara.’
