The blue-comlexioned Divine form of Nandanandana is beyond
description. However, rasika saints have used the examples of a sapphire,
a rain-laden cloud, and blue lotus to give some idea of His incomparable
beauty. The sapphire, cloud and lotus each have different individual
qualities. A sapphire is smooth, glittering and blue in colour. A cloud is
calm, cool, mellow and also blue in colour. The blue lotus is soft,
refreshing and fragrant. All the qualities of these three combined together
and mingled with the sweet nectar of Divine Love can to some extent
give an idea of the blue-complexioned Divine form of Shyāmasundara.
According to the saint poet Kṛipālu the transcendental Divine form of
Shrī Kṛishṇa can actually be compared only to the Divine form of
Shrī Rādhā.
