lakhatahiṁ banata sakhī mukha chhavi jaba, haṁsata shyāma sarakāra.

dādima bīja sarisa dashanana duti, damakani shveta nihāra.

so duti adhara aruṇimā te mili, shvetāruṇa raṅgadhāra.

puni shvetāruṇa raṅga meṁ tanu raṅga, nīlo mili ika sāra.

lakhi ‘Kṛipālu’ mukha raṅga triveṇī, vidhi hari hara manahāra.

One sakhi says to another, I have completely surrendered myself for-

ever since I beheld Shyāmasundara’s beautiful face. When He laughs

His ineffable beauty is multiplied a hundred times. His teeth that look

like shining ripe pomegranate seeds are dazzling white. When the white

radiance of His teeth mingles with the redness of His lips, it appears to

be reddish white. And when the blue complexion of His face also

combines with these two, even Vishnu and Shiva surrender themselves

seeing this wonderful Triveṇī (confluence of three; the whiteness of His

teeth—(Ganga), the redness of His lips—(Saraswati), and the bluishness

of His face (Yamuna).
