lakhi rasa-barasāno barasāno, koṭina brahmānanda lajāya
Original pad by Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj
English meaning
After seeing the divine abode, Barasānā, which constantly showers the rain of divine love-bliss, even crores of Brahmānandas appear to be dull (valueless). Shrī Vṛishabhānunandinī Rādhikā is the origin of divine love and the source of the innermost essence of mahābhāva. The repository of nectarean love and the ocean of beauty, She is worshipped by the Supreme Brahma Shrī Kṛishṇa Himself. That same Rādhikā Jī has incarnated Herself in the house of the King, Shrī Vṛīshabhānu, to bestow divine love upon deserving souls. The Brahma who is described as ‘Unborn’ and ‘Imperceptible’ by the Vedas, has appeared in the form of Shrī Kṛishṇa in the house of an ahīra, Nanda. The same Ultimate Reality with form (i.e. Bhagwan Kṛishṇa), who could not be attained even by Brahmā, Vishnu and Shaṅkara on the strength of severe penances and other spiritual practices, is longingly searching for His Swāminī Rādhikā Jī in the lanes of Gahvaravana of Barasānā. Barasānā abounds in places of incomparable beauty such as Pīrī Pokhara, Prema-Sarovara, Vṛishabhānukuṇḍa, and the groves of Gahvaravana, where the Supreme Brahma Shrī Kṛishṇa pleases Shrī Rādhikā Jī by disguising Himself variously as a flower-maiden, a female ascetic, etc., feeling beside Himself with joy. Shrī Kṛishṇa, who in Barasānā entreats the sakhīs and begs them again and again to grant Him a vision of His Swāminī, saying, “Oh sakhīs! Please allow My eyes to have a glimpse of My Swāminī’s face; My eyes are like honeybees for Kishorī Jī’s honey-sweet face”, greedily watches Lalitā sakhī massaging the lotus feet of Kishorī Jī. Not only this, the Supreme Brahma Shrī Kṛishṇa also sweeps clean the inner chambers of Shrī Kishorī Jī’s palace with His crown and feels afraid to ask even for Her mercy. In the words of Jagadguru Shrī Kripālu Jī, “Shrī Kṛishṇa incessantly sheds tears in His effort to appease māninī Rādhā.”
