1मोहि नाहिं पाई जेहि कमला सी बामा।
2मोही तेहि कुबरिहुँ मधुपुरि धामा॥
3mohi nāhiṁ pāī jehi kamalā sī bāmā
4mohī tehi kubarihuṁ madhupuri dhāmā
5Look at the strange contradiction. Mahalakshmi was not
6able to captivate Shyamsundar with Her extraordinary
7beauty and charms. But that same Shyamsundar is
8enamoured by the selfish devotion of Kubja, the hunch-
9backed woman in Mathura.
