2घूँघट हटाये बुरा माने बूढ़ी बामा॥
3ghūṁghaṭa meṁ dekhe kaise śhyāma sukhadhāmā
4ghūṁghaṭa haṭāye burā māne būd̤hī bāmā
5A Gopi is caught in a quandary. If she does not lift the
6ghunghat, the veil covering her face, she will not be
7able to see Shyamsundar. But if she does remove it, the
8older ladies of Braj will consider it a breach of social
9norms and take it very badly.
