1वेद कहें दोऊ एक श्याम अरु श्यामा।
2श्यामा करें मान पै मनावें सुखधामा॥
3veda kaheṁ doū eka śhyāma aru śhyāmā
4śhyāmā kareṁ māna pai manāveṁ sukhadhāmā
5According to the Vedic verse,
6‘yeyaṁ rādhā yaśhcha
7kṛiṣhṇo rasābdhirdehenaikaḥ kṛīḍanārthaṁ dvidhā’bhūt’
8- (Radhika Upanishad), Shyamsundar and Shyama are one
9and the same Supreme Entity that assumed two forms
10for performing loving pastimes. In these pastimes
11Shyama holds the superior position, She displays maan
12and Shyamsundar always tries to appease Her.
