1सदघन चिदघन आनंदधामा।
2मुरछित होवें ब्रह्म सुनि नाम श्यामा॥
3sadaghana chidaghana ānandadhāmā
4murachhita hoveṁ brahman suni nāma śhyāmā
5Shyamsundar is the abode of eternal existence, infinite
6knowledge and infinite bliss. Nevertheless, the name of
7Shyama is so blissful and intoxicating that upon hearing
8it He falls unconscious in the ecstacy of love.
