1गिरि को उठाया पाया गिरिधर नामा।
2ग्वालों ने लगाया लठिया आठु यामा॥
3giri ko uṭhāyā pāyā giridhara nāmā
4gvāloṁ ne lagāyā laṭhiyā āṭhu yāmā
5Shyamsundar is also known as Giridhar since He lifted
6up the Govardhan Mountain on the little finger of His
7left hand; However His cowherd friends used their
8herding sticks to hold up the mountain, thinking that it
9was because of them that the mountain was held up.
