1चन्द्रकला जिमि बाढ़ै प्रेम आठु यामा।
2किन्तु यामें पूर्णिमा न कहें ब्रज बामा॥
3chandrakalā jimi bād̤hai prema āṭhu yāmā
4kintu yāmeṁ pūrṇimā na kaheṁ braja bāmā
5Love grows constantly, like the waxing moon. However,
6after the full moon, the moon starts waning. On the
7other hand, love never reaches its fullest point - it never
8wanes, but keeps on increasing till eternity.
