1तोहिं लखि पतितपावनी श्यामा।
2मनमानी पाप किया मैंने आठु यामा॥
3tohiṁ lakhi patitapāvanī śhyāmā
4manamānī pāpa kiyā maiṁne āṭhu yāmā
5O Shyama! I have been openly and continually indulging
6in sinful activities, thinking that I have no reason to
7worry as I was assured that You are the Purifier and
8the Merciful to the fallen.
