वंदनीय हैं उपनिषद, यामें ज्ञान महान ।

1वंदनीय हैं उपनिषद, यामें ज्ञान महान ।

2श्याम प्रेम बिनु ज्ञान सो, प्राणहीन तनु जान ॥८८॥

3भावार्थ - उपनिषत् भगवत्स्वरूप हैं। अतः वंदनीय हैं। उनमें अनंत ज्ञान भरा

4पड़ा है। किंतु उनसे श्रीकृष्ण प्रेम नहीं बढ़ता। अतः ऐसा ज्ञान, प्राणहीन शरीर

5के समान है।

6Vanḍaniya haiṇ Upanishaḍ, yȧmeṇ gyȧn mahȧn.

7Shyȧm prem binu gyȧn so, prȧṅheen ṭanu jȧn. [88]

8The Upnishads are to be respected because they contain great

9Divine knowledge (which reveals the true futility of worldly

10pleasures). But this knowledge doesn’t induce love for Krishn.

11Hence this knowledge is like a body without life (because Krishn

12love is the life aspect of all the Divine knowledges).
