पुण्य देत फल नश्वर, पाप नरक लै जाय ।

1पुण्य देत फल नश्वर, पाप नरक लै जाय ।

2दोउन तजि जो हरि भजे, सोइ परम पद पाय ॥६८॥

3भावार्थ - विधिवत्‌ किया हुआ पुण्य कर्म नश्वर स्वर्ग देता है। पाप कर्म नरक

4देता है। इन दोनों का परित्याग कर जो श्रीकृष्ण भक्ति करता है। उसे भगवान

5का लोक प्राप्त होता है।

6Puṅya ḍeṭ phal nashvar, pȧp narak lai jȧya.

7Ḍoun ṭaji jo Hari bhaje, soi param paḍ pȧya. [68]

8The consequence of pious deeds and rituals, if performed strictly

9as prescribed in the Vedas and scriptures, is the temporary

10enjoyment of the luxuries of the celestial abode, and the

11consequence of bad actions is great suffering. Leaving both,

12(good and bad actions) when a soul does selfless devotion to

13Krishn, he attains the Divine abode which is the ultimate goal

14of a soul.
