There are eight kinds of fragrances that emanate from the Divine body

of Shyāmasundara. The first fragrance is that of His beautiful lotus-like

face. This special fragrance makes Sanak, Sanandana etc. (sons of

Brahma) forget their trance. The second fragrance is that of harichandana

(a kind of sandal paste) with which His body is smeared. The third

fragrance is a mixture of harichandana and kumkuma (vermillion).

There is also the special fragrance of the tulasī leaves in His banamālā

(garland of forest flowers). The special fragrance of these forest flowers

mingling with the fragrance of harichandana and kumkuma produces a

unique fragrance. All these fragrances along with the fragrance of His

face mixed together, make a special fragrance. All these eight fragrances

also emanate from the Divine body of Shrī Rādhā.
