## English whole-pad meaning

A maiden of Braja complains to Mother Yashodā, “Oh Maiyā! Just listen to what I say. Your Kanhaiyā torments me without any reason. He breaks my earthen-pot at the panaghaṭa; sometimes He breaks my pearl-chain and sometimes, steals my clothes from the bank of the Yamunā. And Maiyā! This shameless son of yours also makes coquettish gestures with His brows like a flirt. Not only this, He ogles me with His eyes and says many untoward things with His mouth. And when I try to scold Him, He gives a wry smile.” Hearing this, Shyāmasundara retorted, ‘Oh Maiyā! All these gopīs blame Me falsely. At least you know how innocent your Kanhaiyā is. Oh Maiyā! The reality is that they all want to marry Me.” Innocent Mother Yashodā believed what Kanhaiyā said. She scolded the gopīs away and, says Jagadguru Shrī Kripālu Jī, embraced her son.

## Published-book provenance

This site presents transcriptions and scans of published devotional literature. It does not compose new verses or meanings. OCR errors may remain.

Decorative Madhuri and Bhakti Challenge illustrations were generated with Codex. They are separate from published source text, original scans and publisher artwork. Library covers are individually credited supplied-PDF cover/source-page images or publisher-representative artwork; the pictured cover does not establish edition equivalence. [Library cover provenance](https://radhey.shreyam1008.com.np/content/books/index.json).

Prem Ras Madira is a published work by Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj, with a print history preceding this website. The supplied companion Gutka identifies Radha Govind Samiti as publisher and its eighth edition as 15 July 2011 (PDF page 3, printed page II).

The official biography says Prem Ras Madira was published by 1955; a JKP article gives 1960 for its first Hindi publication. These sources disagree, so this collection does not assert a single verified first-publication year. The 2011 date identifies the supplied companion Gutka edition, not the first publication or every scanned edition.
