## English whole-pad meaning

One gopī says to another, “Oh friend! You are extremely innocent to thus offer yourself to the charm of that deceitful Shyāmasundara. Oh friend! You don’t know that Deceiver at all. All He knows is to kindle the fire of love; He does not know how to quench it. How can you trust the one who did not prove sincere even to His parents, and fled leaving them in jail? Oh sakhi! Know Him to be the Supreme Deceiver of all deceivers. He tells every maiden, ‘To you I dedicate even My life’ but forgets them in a blink.” The other gopī said, “I am well aware of all that you are telling me, but what can I do when my mind refuses to listen to me? I am exhausted after pursuing it for a long time. Friend! What a great wonder this is that even after our clearly seeing the Beloved’s faults, my mind continues to remain in His control forcibly!” Jagadguru Shrī Kripālu Jī says, “Oh sakhi! Shyāmasundara is a divine personality; hence there is nothing to be amazed at this.”

## Published-book provenance

This site presents transcriptions and scans of published devotional literature. It does not compose new verses or meanings. OCR errors may remain.

Decorative Madhuri and Bhakti Challenge illustrations were generated with Codex. They are separate from published source text, original scans and publisher artwork. Library covers are individually credited supplied-PDF cover/source-page images or publisher-representative artwork; the pictured cover does not establish edition equivalence. [Library cover provenance](https://radhey.shreyam1008.com.np/content/books/index.json).

Prem Ras Madira is a published work by Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj, with a print history preceding this website. The supplied companion Gutka identifies Radha Govind Samiti as publisher and its eighth edition as 15 July 2011 (PDF page 3, printed page II).

The official biography says Prem Ras Madira was published by 1955; a JKP article gives 1960 for its first Hindi publication. These sources disagree, so this collection does not assert a single verified first-publication year. The 2011 date identifies the supplied companion Gutka edition, not the first publication or every scanned edition.
