## English whole-pad meaning

(A gopī’s lamentation in painful separation from Shyāmasundara.) Oh crest-jewel of the rasikas, Shyāmasundara! Why have You forgotten me? I have taken shelter in Your lotus-feet, abandoning all proprieties of the world and the lineage, as well as the duties enjoined in the Vedas. Ceaseless waiting for You has made my eyes stony and I have become exhausted after searching for You in each and every forest unsuccessfully. Oh my Beloved! I spend sleepless nights, counting stars, and even a moment seems to me like an aeon. Oh stone-hearted Shyāmasundara! Why have You taken a vow to make me suffer so after stealing my heart from me? Oh my cruel Beloved! You are letting me neither live nor die. Jagadguru Shrī Kripālu Jī says, “Shyāmasundara has forsaken me for Kubjā whom He has graced with a place in His heart.”

## Published-book provenance

This site presents transcriptions and scans of published devotional literature. It does not compose new verses or meanings. OCR errors may remain.

Decorative Madhuri and Bhakti Challenge illustrations were generated with Codex. They are separate from published source text, original scans and publisher artwork. Library covers are individually credited supplied-PDF cover/source-page images or publisher-representative artwork; the pictured cover does not establish edition equivalence. [Library cover provenance](https://radhey.shreyam1008.com.np/content/books/index.json).

Prem Ras Madira is a published work by Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj, with a print history preceding this website. The supplied companion Gutka identifies Radha Govind Samiti as publisher and its eighth edition as 15 July 2011 (PDF page 3, printed page II).

The official biography says Prem Ras Madira was published by 1955; a JKP article gives 1960 for its first Hindi publication. These sources disagree, so this collection does not assert a single verified first-publication year. The 2011 date identifies the supplied companion Gutka edition, not the first publication or every scanned edition.
