## English whole-pad meaning

A virahiṇī, getting impatient with the moon-rays, says to her intimate friend, “Oh friend! The rays of the moon have set my whole body on fire.” Then, addressing the Moon, she says, “Oh wicked moon! Although by name you are Sudhākara, i.e. one who showers nectar, yet in action, you are Divākara (the sun), i.e. one who rains fire. Who is that worthless teacher who has taught you this worthless job? Have you learnt this act of burning from bad̤avānala (the fire of water or the marine-fire which exists in the ocean), or from the deadly poison (Hālāhala), extracted from the ocean? Oh wicked one! When Mt. Mandarāchala fell in the ocean due to the fear of Indra’s thunderbolt, why did you escape from being turned into pieces by coming under it? The implication is that it would have been very good if you were destroyed then and there only. Or why didn’t you go into the stomach of sage Agastya when he drank the ocean?” Jagadguru Shrī Kripālu Jī says, “The greatest fault lies with the Ocean that manifested the Moon at the time of the churning of the ocean and did not keep him within himself as he kept the marine-fire.”

## Published-book provenance

This site presents transcriptions and scans of published devotional literature. It does not compose new verses or meanings. OCR errors may remain.

Decorative Madhuri and Bhakti Challenge illustrations were generated with Codex. They are separate from published source text, original scans and publisher artwork. Library covers are individually credited supplied-PDF cover/source-page images or publisher-representative artwork; the pictured cover does not establish edition equivalence. [Library cover provenance](https://radhey.shreyam1008.com.np/content/books/index.json).

Prem Ras Madira is a published work by Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj, with a print history preceding this website. The supplied companion Gutka identifies Radha Govind Samiti as publisher and its eighth edition as 15 July 2011 (PDF page 3, printed page II).

The official biography says Prem Ras Madira was published by 1955; a JKP article gives 1960 for its first Hindi publication. These sources disagree, so this collection does not assert a single verified first-publication year. The 2011 date identifies the supplied companion Gutka edition, not the first publication or every scanned edition.
