## English whole-pad meaning

(The sweet meeting of a gopī with beloved Shyāmasundara and the disclosure of it by another gopī.) Oh sakhi! It seems to me as if you have been the prey of an evil eye. The implication is that your eyes have met with somebody’s eyes. Oh friend! Your eyes look red and full of intoxication, as if you were awake throughout the night. You have also renounced the decorum of the world, the Vedas and the lineage. And there is no bashfulness in your eyes now. Oh friend! Sometimes you look causelessly happy and sometimes aggrieved without any cause at all, as if some cheater has cheated you through his love. And sometimes, rising and sinking in the ocean of love, you all of a sudden start laughing all by yourself like a fully intoxicated person. Jagadguru Shrī Kripālu Jī says, “Seeing all these symptoms, I have now fully understood that you have been maddened with Shyāmasundara’s love.”

## Published-book provenance

This site presents transcriptions and scans of published devotional literature. It does not compose new verses or meanings. OCR errors may remain.

Decorative Madhuri and Bhakti Challenge illustrations were generated with Codex. They are separate from published source text, original scans and publisher artwork. Library covers are individually credited supplied-PDF cover/source-page images or publisher-representative artwork; the pictured cover does not establish edition equivalence. [Library cover provenance](https://radhey.shreyam1008.com.np/content/books/index.json).

Prem Ras Madira is a published work by Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj, with a print history preceding this website. The supplied companion Gutka identifies Radha Govind Samiti as publisher and its eighth edition as 15 July 2011 (PDF page 3, printed page II).

The official biography says Prem Ras Madira was published by 1955; a JKP article gives 1960 for its first Hindi publication. These sources disagree, so this collection does not assert a single verified first-publication year. The 2011 date identifies the supplied companion Gutka edition, not the first publication or every scanned edition.
