## English whole-pad meaning

A virahiṇī, irritated with her beloved Shyāmasundara’s separation, humorously talks to her friend in the mysterious language of love and says, “Oh sakhi! I am well familiar with the deceitfulness of Shyāmasundara. Oh friend! Let me tell you about His deceitful actions; listen carefully. No sooner did He incarnate Himself than He cheated on His parents and, leaving them in the prison, became Yashodā’s son. Oh friend! The peacock-feather on His head tells the secret that just as I, the peacock, eat snakes but outwardly speak very sweetly, the same is the nature of Shyāmasundara. His guñjamālā and vanamālā are also merely for show, actually they are not worth even a single penny. The pītāmbara, fluttering on His body which is like the dark cloud, proves only this that like a flash of lightning among the dark clouds, His love is also unsteady. Similarly, Shyāmasundara’s flute which is empty-hearted and full of many holes, and listening to which we get intoxicated, also gives His complete introduction.” Jagadguru Shrī Kripālu Jī says to the virahiṇī “Why are you thus openly describing Shyāmasundara as full of faults who has been declared by the Vedas as ‘neti neti’ (i.e. not just this, not just this. His greatness is endless.)”

## Published-book provenance

This site presents transcriptions and scans of published devotional literature. It does not compose new verses or meanings. OCR errors may remain.

Decorative Madhuri and Bhakti Challenge illustrations were generated with Codex. They are separate from published source text, original scans and publisher artwork. Library covers are individually credited supplied-PDF cover/source-page images or publisher-representative artwork; the pictured cover does not establish edition equivalence. [Library cover provenance](https://radhey.shreyam1008.com.np/content/books/index.json).

Prem Ras Madira is a published work by Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj, with a print history preceding this website. The supplied companion Gutka identifies Radha Govind Samiti as publisher and its eighth edition as 15 July 2011 (PDF page 3, printed page II).

The official biography says Prem Ras Madira was published by 1955; a JKP article gives 1960 for its first Hindi publication. These sources disagree, so this collection does not assert a single verified first-publication year. The 2011 date identifies the supplied companion Gutka edition, not the first publication or every scanned edition.
