## English whole-pad meaning

Gopīs’ pathetic bewailing towards Akrūra who is taking Shyāmasundara to Mathurā making Him sit in his chariot – Oh Akrūra! Don’t take away the life of my life. Oh cruel Akrūra! You don’t know that Shyāmasundara is the personified life of the maidens of Braja. You are unknown even with this fact that Shyāmasundara’s friends, who are as dear to Him as His life, cannot survive without Him. Even the cows and calves of Braja will die on being separated from their life, Shyāmasundara. I am begging for the life of crores of gopīs, cowherd boys and cows. Please don’t take the Lord of our life away from us. In the meantime, Jagadguru Shrī Kripālu Jī said, “Oh sakhīs! Akrūra is not to be blamed. Shyāmasundara’s own desire is strong.”

## Published-book provenance

This site presents transcriptions and scans of published devotional literature. It does not compose new verses or meanings. OCR errors may remain.

Decorative Madhuri and Bhakti Challenge illustrations were generated with Codex. They are separate from published source text, original scans and publisher artwork. Library covers are individually credited supplied-PDF cover/source-page images or publisher-representative artwork; the pictured cover does not establish edition equivalence. [Library cover provenance](https://radhey.shreyam1008.com.np/content/books/index.json).

Prem Ras Madira is a published work by Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj, with a print history preceding this website. The supplied companion Gutka identifies Radha Govind Samiti as publisher and its eighth edition as 15 July 2011 (PDF page 3, printed page II).

The official biography says Prem Ras Madira was published by 1955; a JKP article gives 1960 for its first Hindi publication. These sources disagree, so this collection does not assert a single verified first-publication year. The 2011 date identifies the supplied companion Gutka edition, not the first publication or every scanned edition.
