## English whole-pad meaning

(The discussion between two gopīs in Shyāmasundara’s separation.) The first sakhī said, “Why on earth did Shyāmasundara abandon all of us, the maidens of Braja?” The other sakhī said, “I am not prepared to accept that He has abandoned us.” The first sakhī said, “Then, tell me, why did the Beloved not come?” The other sakhī said, “I know its secret. Shyāmasundara wants to test our love by giving us separation.” The first sakhī said, “Fine; but sakhi! tell me how can we retain our life in this separation?” In the meanwhile, Jagadguru Shrī Kripālu Jī said, “Oh sakhi! You love Shyāmasundara, and love gives immortality. Therefore, the question of losing life does not arise at all.”

## Published-book provenance

This site presents transcriptions and scans of published devotional literature. It does not compose new verses or meanings. OCR errors may remain.

Decorative Madhuri and Bhakti Challenge illustrations were generated with Codex. They are separate from published source text, original scans and publisher artwork. Library covers are individually credited supplied-PDF cover/source-page images or publisher-representative artwork; the pictured cover does not establish edition equivalence. [Library cover provenance](https://radhey.shreyam1008.com.np/content/books/index.json).

Prem Ras Madira is a published work by Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj, with a print history preceding this website. The supplied companion Gutka identifies Radha Govind Samiti as publisher and its eighth edition as 15 July 2011 (PDF page 3, printed page II).

The official biography says Prem Ras Madira was published by 1955; a JKP article gives 1960 for its first Hindi publication. These sources disagree, so this collection does not assert a single verified first-publication year. The 2011 date identifies the supplied companion Gutka edition, not the first publication or every scanned edition.
