## English whole-pad meaning

Overwhelmed with the agony of separation after Shyāmasundara’s departure to Mathurā, the maidens of Braja lament - Oh sakhi! Akrūra has taken the life of my life away to Mathurā. How can the body of Braja-maidens survive without the prana now?” But who can make whom understand what, when no one is conscious of anyone? One sakhī remained standing like a statue of stone, forgetting to think even about the Beloved. Another sakhī was left sitting with her hand on her chin, continuously wreathing garlands of tears only. Yet another began running hither and thither like a mad woman crying, ‘Hā Shyāmasundara!’ Some sakhī, holding her heart with her hand, started wailing ‘Hāi, hāi!’ and still another started embracing creepers. Jagadguru Shrī Kripālu Jī says that some Braja-maidens immediately fell on the ground in a swoon. Who can describe the grief of these maidens of Braja?

## Published-book provenance

This site presents transcriptions and scans of published devotional literature. It does not compose new verses or meanings. OCR errors may remain.

Decorative Madhuri and Bhakti Challenge illustrations were generated with Codex. They are separate from published source text, original scans and publisher artwork. Library covers are individually credited supplied-PDF cover/source-page images or publisher-representative artwork; the pictured cover does not establish edition equivalence. [Library cover provenance](https://radhey.shreyam1008.com.np/content/books/index.json).

Prem Ras Madira is a published work by Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj, with a print history preceding this website. The supplied companion Gutka identifies Radha Govind Samiti as publisher and its eighth edition as 15 July 2011 (PDF page 3, printed page II).

The official biography says Prem Ras Madira was published by 1955; a JKP article gives 1960 for its first Hindi publication. These sources disagree, so this collection does not assert a single verified first-publication year. The 2011 date identifies the supplied companion Gutka edition, not the first publication or every scanned edition.
