## English whole-pad meaning

Gopīs of Braja, addressing the Vedāntist Uddhava, state, “Oh Uddhava! We are teaching you what real knowledge is, in very simple words. The knowledge and the yoga you are preaching, are actually the means; the end is only the attainment of divine love. You are so ignorant that you have come to teach yoga to us, whose minds are always in the state of yoga (because of being deeply engrossed in Shyāmasundara). Your yoga is like a disease to all of us who are the enjoyers of divine love-bliss. This yoga befits only your friend Shyāmasundara who has exceeding attachment even for an ugly, hunchbacked woman, Kubjā.” Jagadguru Shrī Kripālu Jī says, “Oh Uddhava! How can we understand your knowledge, when we are devoid of eyes and ears?” [This sentence has two meanings. The first is, our eyes crave to see only Shyāmasundara and our ears, to hear only His attributes. The second meaning is, ‘Oh Uddhava! How can we understand the knowledge of that Brahma who possesses neither eyes nor ears (i.e. who is formless)?’]

## Published-book provenance

This site presents transcriptions and scans of published devotional literature. It does not compose new verses or meanings. OCR errors may remain.

Decorative Madhuri and Bhakti Challenge illustrations were generated with Codex. They are separate from published source text, original scans and publisher artwork. Library covers are individually credited supplied-PDF cover/source-page images or publisher-representative artwork; the pictured cover does not establish edition equivalence. [Library cover provenance](https://radhey.shreyam1008.com.np/content/books/index.json).

Prem Ras Madira is a published work by Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj, with a print history preceding this website. The supplied companion Gutka identifies Radha Govind Samiti as publisher and its eighth edition as 15 July 2011 (PDF page 3, printed page II).

The official biography says Prem Ras Madira was published by 1955; a JKP article gives 1960 for its first Hindi publication. These sources disagree, so this collection does not assert a single verified first-publication year. The 2011 date identifies the supplied companion Gutka edition, not the first publication or every scanned edition.
