## English whole-pad meaning

Maidens of Braja tauntingly say to Uddhava, “Oh Uddhava! Blessed is your knowledge, which is actually ignorance! You say that because of not realizing its real nature, the individual soul is bound with the fruits of its actions and consequently, rotating in the cycle of eighty-four lakh forms of life. But our question is that, a newborn baby does not recognize its parents, but does it become the child of a cow or a buffalo as a result of this? I further ask, if a person touches the fire without knowing it, will the fire become cold as ice for him? You try to ignore Māyā by calling it an illusion, whereas the Vedas frequently state that Māyā is by all means a power of God.” Jagadguru Shrī Kripālu Jī says that after hearing these irrefutable arguments of the gopīs, Uddhava realized the imperfectness of his knowledge and tears of love started flowing down from his eyes.

## Published-book provenance

This site presents transcriptions and scans of published devotional literature. It does not compose new verses or meanings. OCR errors may remain.

Decorative Madhuri and Bhakti Challenge illustrations were generated with Codex. They are separate from published source text, original scans and publisher artwork. Library covers are individually credited supplied-PDF cover/source-page images or publisher-representative artwork; the pictured cover does not establish edition equivalence. [Library cover provenance](https://radhey.shreyam1008.com.np/content/books/index.json).

Prem Ras Madira is a published work by Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj, with a print history preceding this website. The supplied companion Gutka identifies Radha Govind Samiti as publisher and its eighth edition as 15 July 2011 (PDF page 3, printed page II).

The official biography says Prem Ras Madira was published by 1955; a JKP article gives 1960 for its first Hindi publication. These sources disagree, so this collection does not assert a single verified first-publication year. The 2011 date identifies the supplied companion Gutka edition, not the first publication or every scanned edition.
