## English whole-pad meaning

Restraining Shyāmasundara from throwing colour on her on the occasion of Holī, a gopī says to Him, “Oh Naughty Shyāmasundara! I am wearing a new sari, therefore do not throw colour on it. My husband is very bad-tempered; he will surely set You straight in a minute. Along with this, my mother in-law will extricate me from the house and even my mother will not keep me in her home. This incident will spread very fast like fire throughout Braja and all the people will laugh at me clapping their hands. Besides, ever-new rumours are heard about You everyday that You throw amorous glances at other men’s wives.” In the words of Jagadguru Shrī Kripālu Jī, the gopī adds, “Oh Shyāmasundara! Then, our mutual love which is a secret till now will be exposed to all.”

## Published-book provenance

This site presents transcriptions and scans of published devotional literature. It does not compose new verses or meanings. OCR errors may remain.

Decorative Madhuri and Bhakti Challenge illustrations were generated with Codex. They are separate from published source text, original scans and publisher artwork. Library covers are individually credited supplied-PDF cover/source-page images or publisher-representative artwork; the pictured cover does not establish edition equivalence. [Library cover provenance](https://radhey.shreyam1008.com.np/content/books/index.json).

Prem Ras Madira is a published work by Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj, with a print history preceding this website. The supplied companion Gutka identifies Radha Govind Samiti as publisher and its eighth edition as 15 July 2011 (PDF page 3, printed page II).

The official biography says Prem Ras Madira was published by 1955; a JKP article gives 1960 for its first Hindi publication. These sources disagree, so this collection does not assert a single verified first-publication year. The 2011 date identifies the supplied companion Gutka edition, not the first publication or every scanned edition.
