## English whole-pad meaning

(Shrī Shyāmasundara is trying to prove His innocence to Kishorī Jī by explaining the reason for the mihāvara on His forehead and other suspicious signs on His body.) Oh Kuṁvari! You are blaming Me without any reason. I am absolutely innocent. Oh Māninī! Listen, I am telling You everything truthfully. I never fabricate stories. Last night, all the sakhīs had Lalitā sit in the midst of a grove, and said to Me, “Oh Beloved, come with us. Rādhā, who is sitting in a grove, is calling You.” I, being innocent, was unable to detect their scheme and according to what they said, I actually hurried to the grove to meet You. The grove was densely dark and Lalitā had hidden her face behind a veil. Therefore, being unable to see her face in any way, I could not recognize her. The gopīs then said to Me, “Kishorī Jī has done māna with You! Fall at Her feet and appease Her anger. We are going.” Actually believing her to be You, I fell at Lalitā’s feet and cried desperately for forgiveness. This is how I got the mihāvara on My forehead. Oh Kishorī Jī! Lalitā then left Me crying and went to hide in some other grove. I searched for You in each and every grove all night, calling out, ‘Hā Rādhe! hā Rādhe!’ In the morning, however, I found out that I had been tricked by the sakhīs. That is why My eyes have become red from lack of sleep and from weeping all night. I do not even know where I have lost My flute. Other marks, too, which You see besides these, are due to those scheming gopīs. Jagadguru Shrī Kripālu Jī says that the extremely innocent Kishorī Jī, believing in everything which Shyāmasundara told Her, embraced Him with a laugh and expressed great anger on the sakhīs. Thus, Her māna was terminated.

## Published-book provenance

This site presents transcriptions and scans of published devotional literature. It does not compose new verses or meanings. OCR errors may remain.

Decorative Madhuri and Bhakti Challenge illustrations were generated with Codex. They are separate from published source text, original scans and publisher artwork. Library covers are individually credited supplied-PDF cover/source-page images or publisher-representative artwork; the pictured cover does not establish edition equivalence. [Library cover provenance](https://radhey.shreyam1008.com.np/content/books/index.json).

Prem Ras Madira is a published work by Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj, with a print history preceding this website. The supplied companion Gutka identifies Radha Govind Samiti as publisher and its eighth edition as 15 July 2011 (PDF page 3, printed page II).

The official biography says Prem Ras Madira was published by 1955; a JKP article gives 1960 for its first Hindi publication. These sources disagree, so this collection does not assert a single verified first-publication year. The 2011 date identifies the supplied companion Gutka edition, not the first publication or every scanned edition.
