## English whole-pad meaning

An individual soul’s first meeting with the Supreme Soul and her revelation of it to her intimate friend – Oh sakhi! I have been bitten by a black snake in the form of Shyāmasundara. Yesterday, I was watching the waves of the Yamunā standing on its bank. All of a sudden, that naughty Shyāmasundara, who defies the beauty of innumerable Kāmadevas and stands in the enchanting triple-bent posture, came right there and fell on the ground abruptly sighing with pain. I could not understand His deceptive acting. I ran to that spot immediately and started looking at Him with extreme sympathy. But He looked at the main parts of my body with the eyes of a lascivious man. I was inebriated with love, and in a state of unconsciousness, touched His hand saying ‘Beloved!’ At the same time, He too touched my hand saying ‘darling!’ In the words of Jagadguru Shrī Kripālu Jī, “Now that same sound ‘darling’ of that black-complexioned Beloved is spreading poison of separation all over my body.”

## Published-book provenance

This site presents transcriptions and scans of published devotional literature. It does not compose new verses or meanings. OCR errors may remain.

Decorative Madhuri and Bhakti Challenge illustrations were generated with Codex. They are separate from published source text, original scans and publisher artwork. Library covers are individually credited supplied-PDF cover/source-page images or publisher-representative artwork; the pictured cover does not establish edition equivalence. [Library cover provenance](https://radhey.shreyam1008.com.np/content/books/index.json).

Prem Ras Madira is a published work by Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj, with a print history preceding this website. The supplied companion Gutka identifies Radha Govind Samiti as publisher and its eighth edition as 15 July 2011 (PDF page 3, printed page II).

The official biography says Prem Ras Madira was published by 1955; a JKP article gives 1960 for its first Hindi publication. These sources disagree, so this collection does not assert a single verified first-publication year. The 2011 date identifies the supplied companion Gutka edition, not the first publication or every scanned edition.
