## English whole-pad meaning

(A gopī is talking to herself after her first sweet encounter with beloved Shyāmasundara.) “Alas! My heart was stolen by Madanamohana today. I became mad with love and joy as soon as I saw His incomparably beautiful, all-attractive form, curved at three places. And now, whom can I relate it to, and how? Even if I tell, the listeners will only laugh at me, clapping their hands. These eyes of mine did not even ask for my permission before getting involved with Him. (Therefore, I am not to be blamed.) I, being innocent, could not understand their cunningness at all. As soon as I saw Him, He cast a magic spell on me and I, immediately, lost all consciousness. Now, I am desperately yearning to meet my Beloved.” Jagadguru Shrī Kripālu Jī says to himself, “Thank your luck tremendously for not letting you fall in the trap of that Trickster’s beauty. Otherwise you too, would be suffering like this gopī.”

## Published-book provenance

This site presents transcriptions and scans of published devotional literature. It does not compose new verses or meanings. OCR errors may remain.

Decorative Madhuri and Bhakti Challenge illustrations were generated with Codex. They are separate from published source text, original scans and publisher artwork. Library covers are individually credited supplied-PDF cover/source-page images or publisher-representative artwork; the pictured cover does not establish edition equivalence. [Library cover provenance](https://radhey.shreyam1008.com.np/content/books/index.json).

Prem Ras Madira is a published work by Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj, with a print history preceding this website. The supplied companion Gutka identifies Radha Govind Samiti as publisher and its eighth edition as 15 July 2011 (PDF page 3, printed page II).

The official biography says Prem Ras Madira was published by 1955; a JKP article gives 1960 for its first Hindi publication. These sources disagree, so this collection does not assert a single verified first-publication year. The 2011 date identifies the supplied companion Gutka edition, not the first publication or every scanned edition.
