## English whole-pad meaning

A sakhī discloses her first ecstatic encounter with Shyāmasundara to her intimate friend, “Oh sakhi! I have been injured by the arrows of Shyāmasundara’s eyes. I was going to bathe in the river Yamunā with my friends when all of a sudden Shyāmasundara started playing enchanting music on His flute. Listening to those soul-stirring melodies, I surrendered my total self to Him and intoxicated with love, I started looking at Him. It was then that He injured me with the piercing arrows of His side-long looks of love.” Jagadguru Shrī Kripālu Jī says with artificial anxiety, “Whatever happened has happened, but what will happen now to the decorum of the world, the Vedas and the family?” (Because lost in Shyāmasundara’s love, the gopī would no longer care for them).

## Published-book provenance

This site presents transcriptions and scans of published devotional literature. It does not compose new verses or meanings. OCR errors may remain.

Decorative Madhuri and Bhakti Challenge illustrations were generated with Codex. They are separate from published source text, original scans and publisher artwork. Library covers are individually credited supplied-PDF cover/source-page images or publisher-representative artwork; the pictured cover does not establish edition equivalence. [Library cover provenance](https://radhey.shreyam1008.com.np/content/books/index.json).

Prem Ras Madira is a published work by Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj, with a print history preceding this website. The supplied companion Gutka identifies Radha Govind Samiti as publisher and its eighth edition as 15 July 2011 (PDF page 3, printed page II).

The official biography says Prem Ras Madira was published by 1955; a JKP article gives 1960 for its first Hindi publication. These sources disagree, so this collection does not assert a single verified first-publication year. The 2011 date identifies the supplied companion Gutka edition, not the first publication or every scanned edition.
