## English whole-pad meaning

(Desiring to meet Shrī Kṛishṇa under the pretext of selling yogurt, the maidens of Braja go to Nandagāṁva.) The gopīs of Braja are going to Nandagāṁva for selling yogurt. Filled with the bliss of Shyāmasundara’s love, they started for Nandagāṁva, with the pots of yogurt on their heads. Together they all stood at the door of Nanda Jī who had nine lakh cows of the best breed. When they did not see their beloved Shyāmasundara at the door, the unbearable fire of separation made them completely oblivious of the outside world. Consequently, instead of calling out loud ‘take yogurt’, they started saying aloud, ‘someone take beautiful Shyāma’. Finding the gopīs thus suffering from the extreme pangs of separation, Bhagwan Kṛishṇa immediately came out of the house and blessed the gopīs with His beautiful sight. Jagadguru Shrī Kripālu Jī says to himself, “Let us also go to Nandagāṁva as gopīs where along with selling yogurt, we will also meet Shyāmasundara. Thus, we will kill two birds with one stone.”

## Published-book provenance

This site presents transcriptions and scans of published devotional literature. It does not compose new verses or meanings. OCR errors may remain.

Decorative Madhuri and Bhakti Challenge illustrations were generated with Codex. They are separate from published source text, original scans and publisher artwork. Library covers are individually credited supplied-PDF cover/source-page images or publisher-representative artwork; the pictured cover does not establish edition equivalence. Prem Ras Madira is a published work by Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj, with a print history preceding this website. The supplied companion Gutka identifies Radha Govind Samiti as publisher and its eighth edition as 15 July 2011 (PDF page 3, printed page II).

The official biography says Prem Ras Madira was published by 1955; a JKP article gives 1960 for its first Hindi publication. These sources disagree, so this collection does not assert a single verified first-publication year. The 2011 date identifies the supplied companion Gutka edition, not the first publication or every scanned edition.
