## English whole-pad meaning

A gopī tells her bosom friend, “Oh sakhi! A female-serpent stung me this morning. It was of black colour. Its fangs were extremely dangerous (The gopī is referring to Shyāmasundara’s piercing side-long looks of love.) It had two tongues and every limb of it was curved (triple-bent Shyāmasundara.) Oh sakhi! As soon as that female-serpent stung me, I fell on the ground saying, ‘Oh, good be unto Thee!’ Now, my life is in peril, do something quickly.” Jagadguru Shrī Kripālu Jī says, “Oh sakhi! The snake-charmer known by the name of Nandakishora knows the charm of curing this type of snake-bite. In other words, He Himself is that female-serpent. Why are you hiding this from me?”

## Published-book provenance

This site presents transcriptions and scans of published devotional literature. It does not compose new verses or meanings. OCR errors may remain.

Decorative Madhuri and Bhakti Challenge illustrations were generated with Codex. They are separate from published source text, original scans and publisher artwork. Library covers are individually credited supplied-PDF cover/source-page images or publisher-representative artwork; the pictured cover does not establish edition equivalence. [Library cover provenance](https://radhey.shreyam1008.com.np/content/books/index.json).

Prem Ras Madira is a published work by Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj, with a print history preceding this website. The supplied companion Gutka identifies Radha Govind Samiti as publisher and its eighth edition as 15 July 2011 (PDF page 3, printed page II).

The official biography says Prem Ras Madira was published by 1955; a JKP article gives 1960 for its first Hindi publication. These sources disagree, so this collection does not assert a single verified first-publication year. The 2011 date identifies the supplied companion Gutka edition, not the first publication or every scanned edition.
