## English whole-pad meaning

(A gopī meets beloved Shyāmasundara for the first time, and relates this sweet meeting to her most intimate friend.) Oh sakhi! Shyāmasundara has cast some magic spell on me. I had gone to fetch water from the panaghaṭa when all of a sudden that Nandakumāra arrived there. I, being innocent, did not understand anything. Just then, my eyes met Shyāmasundara’s, forgetting even the sense of propriety. The sidelong glances of Shyāmasundara made my body, mind and soul His own in the same way as an eagle captures a skylark by attacking it suddenly. From that very moment, oh sakhi, I am extremely restless. I have no peace even momentarily. I don’t even enjoy doing household chores. Jagadguru Shrī Kripālu Jī says, “Oh sakhi! Soon take hold of the ship of faith and hope that Beloved will surely meet you, otherwise, drowning in the fathomless ocean of separation, you will even lose your life.”

## Published-book provenance

This site presents transcriptions and scans of published devotional literature. It does not compose new verses or meanings. OCR errors may remain.

Decorative Madhuri and Bhakti Challenge illustrations were generated with Codex. They are separate from published source text, original scans and publisher artwork. Library covers are individually credited supplied-PDF cover/source-page images or publisher-representative artwork; the pictured cover does not establish edition equivalence. [Library cover provenance](https://radhey.shreyam1008.com.np/content/books/index.json).

Prem Ras Madira is a published work by Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj, with a print history preceding this website. The supplied companion Gutka identifies Radha Govind Samiti as publisher and its eighth edition as 15 July 2011 (PDF page 3, printed page II).

The official biography says Prem Ras Madira was published by 1955; a JKP article gives 1960 for its first Hindi publication. These sources disagree, so this collection does not assert a single verified first-publication year. The 2011 date identifies the supplied companion Gutka edition, not the first publication or every scanned edition.
