## English whole-pad meaning

One sakhī says to another, “Oh sakhi, look at the elegance of Shrī Bhānudulārī’s swinging today. Lāla Jī is giving push to the swing like the personified form of Beauty and Lād̤alī Jī is swinging like the personified form of Adornment. Yamunā Jī is beside herself with joy. The Kadamba tree on the bank of the river Yamunā is beautified with flowers. Its beauty is further enhanced by many entwining creepers which are full of different types of flowers. The rope of the swing has been decorated with different colourful flowers. Shrī Rādhikā, embellished with flowers in the sixteen traditional ways of embellishment, is gracing the swing. Lāla Jī is giving pushes to the swing from the back, bending and swaying, and is also trying to look squarely into Kishorī Jī’s eyes. Kishorī Jī is looking back again and again, and is throwing side-long glances on Shyāmasundara. Lāla Jī is taking tānas and ālāpas and Lād̤alī Jī is singing raga Megha malhāra. After some time, when Shyāmasundara started giving long pushes to the swing, Kishorī Jī, because of being extremely delicate, was frightened and said to Lāla Jī, “Oh Naughty Shyāmasundara! Don’t annoy Me.” Then, in the words of Jagadguru Shrī Kripālu Jī, Lāla Jī answered, “I will stop doing this only when You allow Me to sit beside You on the swing.”

## Published-book provenance

This site presents transcriptions and scans of published devotional literature. It does not compose new verses or meanings. OCR errors may remain.

Decorative Madhuri and Bhakti Challenge illustrations were generated with Codex. They are separate from published source text, original scans and publisher artwork. Library covers are individually credited supplied-PDF cover/source-page images or publisher-representative artwork; the pictured cover does not establish edition equivalence. [Library cover provenance](https://radhey.shreyam1008.com.np/content/books/index.json).

Prem Ras Madira is a published work by Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj, with a print history preceding this website. The supplied companion Gutka identifies Radha Govind Samiti as publisher and its eighth edition as 15 July 2011 (PDF page 3, printed page II).

The official biography says Prem Ras Madira was published by 1955; a JKP article gives 1960 for its first Hindi publication. These sources disagree, so this collection does not assert a single verified first-publication year. The 2011 date identifies the supplied companion Gutka edition, not the first publication or every scanned edition.
