## English whole-pad meaning

Bhagwan Kṛishṇa is playing ‘blind man’s buff’ with Shrī Rādhā in the bowers of Vṛindāvana. (‘Blind man’s buff’ is a children’s game in which a player whose eyes are covered with a piece of cloth tries to catch and identify the other players.) In front of gopīs’ fraud and force, all the cleverness of Shyāmasundara failed. He got defeated. Therefore, He is now forced to have His eyes covered with a piece of cloth. Although Shrī Rādhā is speedily tying the strip of cloth with both Her hands, even then, the ocean of love, surging in Her heart as a result of the touch of Her Beloved’s eyes, wants to make Her unconscious. There, Shyāmasundara is also becoming oblivious of Himself, getting thrilled at the touch of Kishorī Jī’s soft hands. Anyhow, the game began. Just as the man of wisdom who worships his own soul, seeks his soul on the strength of self-efforts, in the same way, the Supreme Lord Shrī Kṛishṇa is searching for His soul, Shrī Rādhā (without the eyes). Even a self-realized soul is not qualified to see this charming scene. This is available only to rasikas. In the end, tired of searching for Rādhā, Shyāmasundara began to call Her out with a yearning heart – “Oh Kishorī Jī! Please bless Me with your vision.” When Supreme Lord Shrī Kṛishṇa, who hears the call of humble souls and destroys their suffering, thus called Kishorī Jī like a destitute, Kishorī Jī removing the ‘eyeless’ Shyāmasundara’s veil in the form of the strip of cloth gave Him real eyes. Jagadguru Shrī Kripālu Jī says, “I sacrifice myself on such infinitely merciful Kishorī Jī.”

## Published-book provenance

This site presents transcriptions and scans of published devotional literature. It does not compose new verses or meanings. OCR errors may remain.

Decorative Madhuri and Bhakti Challenge illustrations were generated with Codex. They are separate from published source text, original scans and publisher artwork. Library covers are individually credited supplied-PDF cover/source-page images or publisher-representative artwork; the pictured cover does not establish edition equivalence. [Library cover provenance](https://radhey.shreyam1008.com.np/content/books/index.json).

Prem Ras Madira is a published work by Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj, with a print history preceding this website. The supplied companion Gutka identifies Radha Govind Samiti as publisher and its eighth edition as 15 July 2011 (PDF page 3, printed page II).

The official biography says Prem Ras Madira was published by 1955; a JKP article gives 1960 for its first Hindi publication. These sources disagree, so this collection does not assert a single verified first-publication year. The 2011 date identifies the supplied companion Gutka edition, not the first publication or every scanned edition.
