## English whole-pad meaning

(Shyāmasundara disguising Himself as a lady-barber goes to deceive Kishorī Jī.) Decorated with all sixteen (traditional) embellishments, Shyāmasundara, in the guise of a lady-barber is looking so charming that He is putting even the beauty of the moon to shame. With mihāvara in Her hand, that lady-barber started for Barasānā. Kishorī Jī, with all Her friends, was wonderstruck at Her infinite beauty and stared at Her unblinkingly. Then, Kishorī Jī called Her and offering Her a seat near Herself, inquired about Her name and lineage. When the lady-barber started applying mihāvara to Kishorī Jī’s feet, the symptoms of divine love-ecstasy began to manifest through Her body, although She was trying Her best to conceal them. Gradually the swelling tide of love overtook Her, and, in the words of Jagadguru Shrī Kripālu Jī, the lady-barber fell on Kishorī Jī’s feet in a swoon. Seeing this, Kishorī Jī’s friends remarked, “Oh, She is not any lady-barber but Shyāmasundara, the King of Braja Himself.”

## Published-book provenance

This site presents transcriptions and scans of published devotional literature. It does not compose new verses or meanings. OCR errors may remain.

Decorative Madhuri and Bhakti Challenge illustrations were generated with Codex. They are separate from published source text, original scans and publisher artwork. Library covers are individually credited supplied-PDF cover/source-page images or publisher-representative artwork; the pictured cover does not establish edition equivalence. Prem Ras Madira is a published work by Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj, with a print history preceding this website. The supplied companion Gutka identifies Radha Govind Samiti as publisher and its eighth edition as 15 July 2011 (PDF page 3, printed page II).

The official biography says Prem Ras Madira was published by 1955; a JKP article gives 1960 for its first Hindi publication. These sources disagree, so this collection does not assert a single verified first-publication year. The 2011 date identifies the supplied companion Gutka edition, not the first publication or every scanned edition.
