## English whole-pad meaning

Shyāmasundara is dancing in the bowers of Vṛindāvana. The maidens of Braja are singing ‘Ta Ta Ta Tā Thei Thei’ (notes used in Indian classical dance). The anklets of dancing Shyāmasundara are producing the beautiful sound of ‘Chhanan Chhanan’ accompanied by the sweet jingling sound of His ornamental kiṅkiṇī. Through the movements of His hands, forehead, waist, feet and eyebrows, He is distinctly showing various moods of the dance. Mṛidaṅga, chaṅga, drum, tambourine, etc. are all being played in rhythmical unity. Shrī Rādhā is singing the raga Malhāra in middle key (pancham swara) of the scale. The rhythm of the singing and the dancing is sometimes slow, sometimes medium paced, and sometimes fast. Lalitā and others, the experts in classical music, are stretching the keys through various grace notes (tānas) and augmentations (ālāpas). In the words of Jagadguru Shrī Kripālu Jī, the group of thousands of gopīs is shouting rapturously, “Jai Ho! Jai Ho! Balihāra!” i.e. ‘Let victory be to our Lords Shrī Rādhā-Kṛishṇa! Let glory be unto Them! We sacrifice ourselves on this enchanting scene!’

## Published-book provenance

This site presents transcriptions and scans of published devotional literature. It does not compose new verses or meanings. OCR errors may remain.

Decorative Madhuri and Bhakti Challenge illustrations were generated with Codex. They are separate from published source text, original scans and publisher artwork. Library covers are individually credited supplied-PDF cover/source-page images or publisher-representative artwork; the pictured cover does not establish edition equivalence. Prem Ras Madira is a published work by Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj, with a print history preceding this website. The supplied companion Gutka identifies Radha Govind Samiti as publisher and its eighth edition as 15 July 2011 (PDF page 3, printed page II).

The official biography says Prem Ras Madira was published by 1955; a JKP article gives 1960 for its first Hindi publication. These sources disagree, so this collection does not assert a single verified first-publication year. The 2011 date identifies the supplied companion Gutka edition, not the first publication or every scanned edition.
