## English whole-pad meaning

Kishorī Jī humorously said to Shyāmasundara, “Oh Shyāmasundara! Do not touch Me, listen to this prayer of Mine. I, the daughter of King Vṛishabhānu, am fair-complexioned whereas You, the son of Nanda, are black in colour. Even the river Yamunā has become black because of Your bathing in it daily. Although You know, and I accept it as well that We are totally in love with each other from Our heart of hearts. Yet, I have this fear that upon being touched by You, I will become black and thus, My fair-complexion shining like gold will be destroyed.” When Kishorī Jī was thus teasing Shyāmasundara, Jagadguru Shrī Kripālu Jī, taking Shyāmasundara’s side, said to Kishorī Jī, “Oh Kishorī Jī! A touchstone can be affected by the colour of gold but the reverse is never possible (i.e. gold can never be affected by the black colour of the touchstone). Therefore, You should not have the fear of becoming black by Shyāmasundara’s touch.”

## Published-book provenance

This site presents transcriptions and scans of published devotional literature. It does not compose new verses or meanings. OCR errors may remain.

Decorative Madhuri and Bhakti Challenge illustrations were generated with Codex. They are separate from published source text, original scans and publisher artwork. Library covers are individually credited supplied-PDF cover/source-page images or publisher-representative artwork; the pictured cover does not establish edition equivalence. [Library cover provenance](https://radhey.shreyam1008.com.np/content/books/index.json).

Prem Ras Madira is a published work by Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj, with a print history preceding this website. The supplied companion Gutka identifies Radha Govind Samiti as publisher and its eighth edition as 15 July 2011 (PDF page 3, printed page II).

The official biography says Prem Ras Madira was published by 1955; a JKP article gives 1960 for its first Hindi publication. These sources disagree, so this collection does not assert a single verified first-publication year. The 2011 date identifies the supplied companion Gutka edition, not the first publication or every scanned edition.
