## English whole-pad meaning

Shyāmasundara, inducing a sakhī to give Him curd, says, “Oh sakhi! Oh milkmaid, the seller of the curd! I am the king of Braja, don’t you know Me? It seems that you are extremely boorish. Oh milkmaid! Give this curd to Me in charity with due honour. Why are you unnecessarily aggravating this dispute with your king?” The sakhī said with a taunt, “Hail to the king of Braja! Oh Lord! Please forgive us, we are really ignorant. But Oh Lord! I am surprised that the king of kings, the Lord of Braja, is facing such bad times that leaving His palace, He has started the business of plundering His subjects (dacoity) nowadays, wandering from forest to forest.” Shyāmasundara said, “Oh milkmaid! Careful, mind your tongue.” In the words of Jagadguru Shrī Kripālu Jī, “Because of being the king of Braja, I have every right to taste the curd of every milkmaid to find out whether the curd she sells is sour or sweet or salty.”

## Published-book provenance

This site presents transcriptions and scans of published devotional literature. It does not compose new verses or meanings. OCR errors may remain.

Decorative Madhuri and Bhakti Challenge illustrations were generated with Codex. They are separate from published source text, original scans and publisher artwork. Library covers are individually credited supplied-PDF cover/source-page images or publisher-representative artwork; the pictured cover does not establish edition equivalence. [Library cover provenance](https://radhey.shreyam1008.com.np/content/books/index.json).

Prem Ras Madira is a published work by Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj, with a print history preceding this website. The supplied companion Gutka identifies Radha Govind Samiti as publisher and its eighth edition as 15 July 2011 (PDF page 3, printed page II).

The official biography says Prem Ras Madira was published by 1955; a JKP article gives 1960 for its first Hindi publication. These sources disagree, so this collection does not assert a single verified first-publication year. The 2011 date identifies the supplied companion Gutka edition, not the first publication or every scanned edition.
