## English whole-pad meaning

(Mother Yashodā has tied little Kṛishṇa up, and is getting ready to beat Him with a stick because Balarāma has told her that Kanhaiyā had been eating mud.) Shrī Kṛishṇa is pleading with Mother Yashodā, “Maiyā! I haven’t eaten any mud.” Jagadguru Shrī Kripālu Jī remarks that the same Supreme Personality who can annihilate infinite cosmic eggs simply by raising His eyebrows, has been bound by Yashodā’s motherly love and is seen getting terrified of a little stick. Both His hands are tied in front of His stomach and tears are flowing incessantly from His eyes. He is pleading with Yashodā, “Maiyā! Please don’t beat Me. At least listen to what I have to say. You yourself have told Me so many times not to go in the midst of the cows under any condition, but Bhaiyā makes Me drive the cows everyday in spite of what you say. Today, I decided to obey you at any cost and refused to drive them. At this, Baladāū Bhaiyā gave Me a big threat that he would complain to you and have Me beaten. Another reason is that I beat Baladāū Bhaiyā in a game yesterday and he has been cross with Me ever since. Because of both these reasons, when he couldn’t do anything else, he came and lied to you that I have eaten mud.” Hearing these words, Mother Yashodā said, “Well, open Your mouth and show me!” Now, Shrī Kṛishṇa smiled a little (whenever Shrī Kṛishṇa wants to perform any līlā, He smiles in a serious manner), and opening His mouth, He manifested His awe-inspiring form by showing infinite cosmic eggs inside His mouth, with the help of His all-powerful divine potency, yogamāyā. Seeing this horrifying spectacle in the little innocent mouth of her Kanhaiyā, Mother Yashodā became very terrified. Jagadguru Shrī Kripālu Jī says, “Seeing Mother Yashodā in this condition, Shrī Kṛishṇa reassumed the form of a little child. In this way, He earned the title, ‘Dāmodara’.”

## Published-book provenance

This site presents transcriptions and scans of published devotional literature. It does not compose new verses or meanings. OCR errors may remain.

Decorative Madhuri and Bhakti Challenge illustrations were generated with Codex. They are separate from published source text, original scans and publisher artwork. Library covers are individually credited supplied-PDF cover/source-page images or publisher-representative artwork; the pictured cover does not establish edition equivalence. [Library cover provenance](https://radhey.shreyam1008.com.np/content/books/index.json).

Prem Ras Madira is a published work by Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj, with a print history preceding this website. The supplied companion Gutka identifies Radha Govind Samiti as publisher and its eighth edition as 15 July 2011 (PDF page 3, printed page II).

The official biography says Prem Ras Madira was published by 1955; a JKP article gives 1960 for its first Hindi publication. These sources disagree, so this collection does not assert a single verified first-publication year. The 2011 date identifies the supplied companion Gutka edition, not the first publication or every scanned edition.
