## English whole-pad meaning

One day, innocent little Shyāmasundara said to His mother, “Maiyā! I have attained very good knowledge from a Spiritual Master. Yesterday, I had gone with My friends to play on the bank of the river Yamunā. There, the great sage Durvāsā, during his discourse, gave this valuable knowledge with proofs from Vedas and other scriptures that this human body is nothing but a toy of mud, because it originates from mud and merges into mud in the end.” Maiyā said, “But I already know this; why are You telling all this to me?” Kanhaiyā replied, “Maiyā! If you are really aware of this, why don’t you let Me eat mud?” Mother Yashodā was taken aback at this unexpected question of her little son, but then, an idea struck her, and she explained, “Oh Lālā! Do You see those plants and trees? They have all grown from mud. So, if You eat mud, various trees will grow inside You and will come out through Your nostrils, mouth and ears.” Bhagwan Kṛishṇa, acting as a little child, was, as if horrified to hear this and immediately said, “Maiyā! If it is so, I will never eat mud again.” Jagadguru Shrī Kripālu Jī, then suggested to little Kṛishṇa, “You have been saved by Your mother this time. Henceforth, make it a point never to listen to the discourses of saints.”

## Published-book provenance

This site presents transcriptions and scans of published devotional literature. It does not compose new verses or meanings. OCR errors may remain.

Decorative Madhuri and Bhakti Challenge illustrations were generated with Codex. They are separate from published source text, original scans and publisher artwork. Library covers are individually credited supplied-PDF cover/source-page images or publisher-representative artwork; the pictured cover does not establish edition equivalence. [Library cover provenance](https://radhey.shreyam1008.com.np/content/books/index.json).

Prem Ras Madira is a published work by Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj, with a print history preceding this website. The supplied companion Gutka identifies Radha Govind Samiti as publisher and its eighth edition as 15 July 2011 (PDF page 3, printed page II).

The official biography says Prem Ras Madira was published by 1955; a JKP article gives 1960 for its first Hindi publication. These sources disagree, so this collection does not assert a single verified first-publication year. The 2011 date identifies the supplied companion Gutka edition, not the first publication or every scanned edition.
