## English whole-pad meaning

Today, Shyāmasundara and Balarāma have entered into a competition with each other. In this, both of them lisped to each other, “Nanda is only my father, and Yashodā, only my mother, not yours.” It is impossible to describe in words, the joy experienced by Nanda and Yashodā, who are witnessing this innocent little quarrel secretly. Thus, when the quarrel between the two little ones took a serious turn, they came to Nanda and Yashodā for a decision. At precisely the same moment, both sit in the lap of Nanda, and the next minute, both of them run and sit in Yashodā’s lap. In this way, when they continued running to and fro for quite a long time, Nandabābā decided to put an end to their fight and said smilingly, “Both of us will become only his parents between you two, who will dance before us, singing something with his eyes closed.” Hearing this, both Kṛishṇa and Balarāma at once began to dance and sing something incoherent shutting their eyes. Meanwhile, Nanda and Yashodā hid themselves somewhere in order to avoid solving this impossible quarrel. Shyāmasundara and Balarāma, with their eyes closed, continued dancing and singing alone. Jagadguru Shrī Kripālu Jī says, “Seeing this enchanting sight of Kṛishṇa and Balarāma, I sacrificed myself on it.”

## Published-book provenance

This site presents transcriptions and scans of published devotional literature. It does not compose new verses or meanings. OCR errors may remain.

Decorative Madhuri and Bhakti Challenge illustrations were generated with Codex. They are separate from published source text, original scans and publisher artwork. Library covers are individually credited supplied-PDF cover/source-page images or publisher-representative artwork; the pictured cover does not establish edition equivalence. Prem Ras Madira is a published work by Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj, with a print history preceding this website. The supplied companion Gutka identifies Radha Govind Samiti as publisher and its eighth edition as 15 July 2011 (PDF page 3, printed page II).

The official biography says Prem Ras Madira was published by 1955; a JKP article gives 1960 for its first Hindi publication. These sources disagree, so this collection does not assert a single verified first-publication year. The 2011 date identifies the supplied companion Gutka edition, not the first publication or every scanned edition.
