## English whole-pad meaning

(Mother Yashodā is going for some household work. Baby Kṛishṇa wants her to take Him in her lap. Thus, both, the mother and the son are fighting in love.) Bālakṛishṇa is fighting with Mother Yashodā to go in her lap. Imagine the scene! Maiyā is standing and little Kṛishṇa is tugging at her garment with tears flowing from His eyes. He is stamping His feet restlessly, and looking up at her face pleadingly (so that when Maiyā looks into His eyes, she will melt with motherly love and lift Him up in her arms), but Maiyā wants to go home as she has some important household duties to attend to. Therefore, she is repeatedly trying with her hands to make baby Kṛishṇa’s little hands loosen their grip on her garment. The gopīs of Braja are witnessing this scene, and they are also pleading with Mother Yashodā on behalf of Kṛishṇa to pick Him up. They say, “Hāi! Hāi! Maiyā, why are you making Him cry? Take Him in your arms.” The great sage Nārada also watched this loving quarrel between Mother Yashodā and child Kṛishṇa and stood transfixed in utter amazement. (His surprise was, ‘the Supreme Being is pleading to go in an individual being’s arms, but the individual soul is scolding the Supreme Being!’) Nārada Jī was left speechless! All he could utter was, “Blessed is Mother Yashodā and blessed is the village of Gokula where this most precious nectar of divine love is being distributed so freely.” Jagadguru Shrī Kripālu Jī says, “Nanda Bābā came home soon after and seeing Kṛishṇa crying, he said to Mother Yashodā, “Why are you putting on airs? Why don’t you pick Lālā up? You have plenty of time to do your work later.” (The devoted wife, Yashodā, immediately obeyed her husband. Thus, child Kṛishṇa won this loving quarrel.)

## Published-book provenance

This site presents transcriptions and scans of published devotional literature. It does not compose new verses or meanings. OCR errors may remain.

Decorative Madhuri and Bhakti Challenge illustrations were generated with Codex. They are separate from published source text, original scans and publisher artwork. Library covers are individually credited supplied-PDF cover/source-page images or publisher-representative artwork; the pictured cover does not establish edition equivalence. [Library cover provenance](https://radhey.shreyam1008.com.np/content/books/index.json).

Prem Ras Madira is a published work by Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj, with a print history preceding this website. The supplied companion Gutka identifies Radha Govind Samiti as publisher and its eighth edition as 15 July 2011 (PDF page 3, printed page II).

The official biography says Prem Ras Madira was published by 1955; a JKP article gives 1960 for its first Hindi publication. These sources disagree, so this collection does not assert a single verified first-publication year. The 2011 date identifies the supplied companion Gutka edition, not the first publication or every scanned edition.
