## English whole-pad meaning

A devotee, yearning to see Bhagwan Kṛishṇa, thus prays to Him – “Oh apple of my eyes, the Darling of Nanda, Nandanandana! Please appear before my eyes, adorned in the following way. The peacock-feathered crown should be gently swaying on Your head. The mark of sandalwood and saffron should be beautifying Your forehead. Curly locks of hair appearing to be the flocks of the black-bees should be gathering on the lotus of Your face. Your eyes should be intoxicating, appearing to be the ocean of poison (black pupil) in the ocean of nectar (the whites of Your eyes), i.e. Your eyes along with being filled with mischief should also be full of nectar, poison and wine. Pītāmbara should be swaying gently, shining like the lightning. There should be the mark of Bhṛigu’s foot on Your chest and You should be wearing a guñjamālā. A beautiful kāchhanī should be tied around Your waist. There should be the flute in Your hands, resting on Your fingers.” After praying to Bhagwan Kṛishṇa in this manner, the devotee feels unable to bear the separation from his Beloved any longer and says to a gopī, “Oh! Will that day ever come, oh sakhi, when decorated with all the above adornments, beloved Shyāmasundara, who is dearer to me than my own life, will come to me, swaying?” Jagadguru Shrī Kripālu Jī says, “Oh Beloved! Bless me with Your blissful sight soon, otherwise my pranas will leave me.”

## Published-book provenance

This site presents transcriptions and scans of published devotional literature. It does not compose new verses or meanings. OCR errors may remain.

Decorative Madhuri and Bhakti Challenge illustrations were generated with Codex. They are separate from published source text, original scans and publisher artwork. Library covers are individually credited supplied-PDF cover/source-page images or publisher-representative artwork; the pictured cover does not establish edition equivalence. [Library cover provenance](https://radhey.shreyam1008.com.np/content/books/index.json).

Prem Ras Madira is a published work by Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj, with a print history preceding this website. The supplied companion Gutka identifies Radha Govind Samiti as publisher and its eighth edition as 15 July 2011 (PDF page 3, printed page II).

The official biography says Prem Ras Madira was published by 1955; a JKP article gives 1960 for its first Hindi publication. These sources disagree, so this collection does not assert a single verified first-publication year. The 2011 date identifies the supplied companion Gutka edition, not the first publication or every scanned edition.
