भूलि गयो सो दशा भई पुनि, ज्यों रहि गर्भ मझार।  
यह 'कृपालु' नर तनु सुरदुर्लभ, सुमिरु श्याम सरकार ।।

तुम तुम्हरे जन कोटि यतन करि, हारे बार हजार।  
पै हौं कियो सदा मनभायो, अंध बधिर अनुहार ।  
मम पातक दावानल सों अब, जरन चहत संसार।  
यासों अब 'कृपालु' कछु सोचिय, याको द्रुत उपचार॥
